Postmortem Ding Analysis and Reapplicant Strategy

Postmortem Ding Analysis and Reapplicant Strategy

No one ever wants to be denied by one of their dream schools, of course, but the truth is that the majority of applicants to the top-tier business programs will receive a “no” rather than a “yes.” Knowing what to do next hinges on understanding what the weak areas of your application/candidacy were, but the schools have neither the bandwidth nor the wherewithal to provide individual feedback to each rejected candidate. We at Gatehouse Admissions do, however. Drawing on our years of expertise, we can help you uncover what went “wrong” with your application, determine whether you can mitigate any weaknesses (and if so, how), and decide whether to broaden your list of target programs.

As a client of our Postmortem Ding Analysis and Reapplicant Strategy service, you will receive the following:

  • A written Postmortem Ding Analysis of your candidacy for one business school. After thoroughly reviewing your submitted application and letters of recommendation (if available), your Consultant will identify the strengths and weaknesses of your candidacy with respect to the specific program to which you applied, offer feedback on your written materials (i.e., your essays and resume), and provide tactical advice on how to approach the reapplication process. Your Consultant will also provide suggestions of other schools to consider, if applicable.
  • A 30-minute debrief and Q&A session (conducted via phone or Zoom) with your Consultant to discuss the information provided in your Postmortem Ding Analysis.

Note: This service should require approximately three hours of your Consultant’s time. If you would like a full mock-up/edit of your essays and/or a review of a second application, you can purchase additional time with your Consultant through our Hourly Support service. Postmortem Ding Analysis and Reapplicant Strategy clients who decide to purchase our Full Support service for the following application year and with the same Consultant will receive a $500 credit toward their purchase.
